Sea Glass Setting Workshop

£95.00

A chance for avid beach combers and sea glass hoarders to make their finds into wearable treasure.

Time: 10am - 4pm

In this workshop you will learn to set a piece of sea glass, a pebble, or some sea ceramics into silver to make a charm or a pendant.

We will spend the day making a silver collet (cup) for your sea glass to sit in, next you’ll solder a bail onto your collet to create your pendant or charm. You will finish by polishing your piece to a high standard before setting your sea glass into it.

This class is ideal for someone who has a bit of basic jewellery making knowledge or experience.

Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.

If you would like to add your sea glass collet to a ring, cuff or bangle, I suggest coming to make that piece of jewellery in the silver ring, bangle or cuff workshop first to give us plenty of time to concentrate on your setting.

Silver is on top of the workshop day price and will need to be paid for on the day. This can range from £8 - £65 depending on what you make.

Ideal for beginners or those wanting to improve their skills.

You will need to bring a packed lunch.
